FROOTEE LIVE
During the summer of 11th Grade, I produced my own live show, “FROOTEE LIVE”.
Doing so, I had planned two months in advance, holding two meetings for all the artists I had asked to perform, marketing for the show, and delivering tickets that were in my bag, on the back of my sweating body in the sweltering summer heat as I biked around the neighborhood for those that had bought tickets.
After the show, I had exhausted my body from both the stress of making sure my first show went smoothly and the physical performance I had put on stage.
Working with the venue, I gained a bigger understanding of what business was when it came to performing in a space catered from a separate business.
After the show, I received positive feedback and surprisingly few critiques from both the artists that performed and the attendees.
Looking back, this was a show that gave me more experience with performance and more insight into the business conducted with music venues, I am very proud of myself and plan to do more shows in the near future.
